Meet Vanessa!

Coming from a sports family, working with the body has been a constant in my life. From playing sport, to having a long career as a professional dancer, to practicing yoga for over 12 years.

A Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis at a young age, meant I had to prioritise attention to my health. However, I believed in never letting the diagnosis get in the way of my ability to accomplish what I truly desire. The early end to my full-time dance career due to a knee injury and the sudden death of my father, to entirely reversible health problems with appropriate diet and lifestyle changes, led to an interest in nutrition.

I trained in Naturopathic Nutrition at the prestigious College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, and I am a member of The Association of Naturopathic Practitioners.  Now, as a qualified nutritional therapist, I am passionate about the power of food and lifestyle modifications to improve health.

I have a particular interest in diabetes (Type 1 & 2), but whether you are looking to regulate energy levels throughout the day, improve digestion, alleviate symptoms of tiredness, struggling to keep at a healthy weight, or are even experiencing mood fluctuation or irregular sleep patterns, I am here to help with these and other health issues.

As both an athlete and someone living with a chronic illness, I understand how life can present itself as challenging.

If you are looking to feel better, get in touch. I’d be thrilled to help!

“Vanessa is the friendliest, and most well-prepared person I have ever encountered. And am certain you will be most happy to have her has your therapist.”
